Cecelia Satterly, LCSW is a dedicated and passionate psychotherapist committed to trauma recovery and relationship health. Cecelia has dedicated her career to helping individuals and couples heal from trauma and build stronger, healthier relationships. Cecelia also enjoys working with emerging adulthood issues, women’s health issues, and life transitions.

Cecelia is trained and experienced in using EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Gottman Method Level 1 & 2, along with certifications in modalities related to intimate partner violence. Cecelia believes in the power of mental health recovery and the inherent resiliency in every individual.

Cecelia’s approach is holistic and client-centered, recognizing the unique experiences and needs of each person. Cecelia creates a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore their feelings, process trauma, and develop strategies for emotional resilience and relational harmony. She believes in the power of therapeutic relationships and works collaboratively with her clients to foster growth, understanding, and lasting change.

Cecelia graduated from Widener University with a Master of Social Work in 2017 and a clinical certificate in Social Work and Trauma Practice. Cecelia has spent the majority of her career in community mental health and began her private practice part-time in 2020.

Cecelia is a subject matter expert in the field of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and has conducted numerous trainings for a variety of healthcare and mental health providers on IPV, healthy relationships, and Trauma-Informed Care. Cecelia is passionate about supporting providers in helping promote safe and healthy relationships within their respective client populations. Cecelia strongly believes everyone deserves a chance at mental health recovery, relational well-being, and harmony. Additionally, Cecelia is very passionate about supporting first responders, healthcare workers, and mental health providers combat compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma. Cecelia believes that caring for this population gives back ten-fold by supporting those who help others.

Outside of her professional life, Cecelia is passionate about reading and long walks on the beach. Cecelia believes in the healing power of music and is always seeking out the next concert she will attend. Cecelia is a former Philadelphia transplant and current Floridian where she enjoys the year-round sunshine and time spent outdoors. Cecelia believes in the importance of self-care and integrates these principles into her work with clients.
